Happy Easter Everyone

It's the most important day we celebrate. Why? Because if Jesus hadn't rose from the dead, then everything that Christianity represents wouldn't stand up to the test. but it does, and He did. He appeared to many. More than 500 people saw him at one time. Even today it only takes 2 or 3 witnesses to prove something as fact. The resurrection can't be discredited.
Before Jesus was crucified, Peter fled and denied him 3 times. He was very afraid. After the ressurection, the disciples, led by Peter, became ultra bold and courageous. History records that when Peter was crucified, he said that he was not worthy to be killed in the same mannor as Jesus and asked to be crucified upside down. What would make a cowardly man be transformed into a man that would willingly suffer and die this kind of death? Seeing Jesus alive would. For sure!
Jesus' brother James was a devout Jewish man and he knew that he could not worship anyone other than God or he would be condemmed to eternal hell. After Jesus rose from the grave and appeared to his disciples, James and his brother Jude went on to each write books in the New Testament, bearing their name, declaring Christ as Lord. They didn't worship their brother Jesus before his death but only after they saw him alive again.

I know that Easter can appear to be more about bunnies and eggs than the risen Christ, and even for adults it can be a brief remembrance of an often told story. The truth is, it's the most profound event in history. It cannot even be contained in human words. The death and resurrection of Jesus, with all it’s implications, should shake and affect us to the very core of our being. Peter said it this way:
“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,”(1Pet 1.8 ESV)
Peter says that as we see Jesus and believe in him that we will be filled with such a glorious joy that it cannot even be expressed.
I hope and pray that today you experience the Holy Spirit in a deep way and have a greater revelation of the truth of Jesus Christ.
Here are a few images from the past 2 days.
