I NEED YOUR HELP.

I am running a full page ad in The Atlantan Brides magazine this summer. My goal is to be different. Every other photographer uses a wedding photo so I am using a "relationship" photo. I need your opinion on this one. Specifically, should I use a border or leave it white off the page? what is your first impression of this? Be honest. if you were getting married and saw this ad, would you go and check out my site? Would it grab your interest?

WEDDING SOIREE BASH

It was the 3rd annual party thrown in honor of brides, past and future, by the dynamic team at Wedding Soiree. They are a full-service bridal consultancy, design and management group and they are fabulous at what they do. Held at 103 West, the decor was chic, the guests were hip and the afternoon was just plain fun.

The bash started with cocktail hour and yummy mimosa's.
3 types of brides from left to right. 1. soon to be engaged 2. getting married in Cancun 11/22 and 3. Just got off the plane from her honeymoon in Mexico.

Adorable cupcakes were provided by Sweet Pockets, owned my Lennie King.

The fabulous invitations and menus were a sample of Lucky Paperie and the super stylish Melanie Carter. This girl has amazing talent and ideas. ( she's a california girl too!)

The doors to the brunch were opened and ladies came in with smiles and excitement.

We were all serenaded by Dee Lucas, a fabulous performer.

Even the staff and 103 west were stylish and jazzy.

After brunch, we played a bridal shower game and won a few prizes. Poker chips were handed out and the beauty/makeup bar was open for business.

Thanks to my temporary model in the black dress for letting me take these quick window shots.

Gail and Hester insisted that I bring home some extra cupcakes for my little cupcake. She was very thankful.

So am I. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon. It was a fabulous way to say thank you to all of your fans. I would really recommend hiring this team of professional planners. You can't go wrong.

I felt like the Paparazzi!

Right now I'm working on Tanya and Jonathon's wedding from last weekend. It took place in Buckhead and not only did it have many unique aspects to it, ( wait till you see the cake and the decor! ) it was also filmed by the reality TV show "Platinum Weddings." If you haven't seen it, it airs on WE TV once a week and showcases exceptional weddings with all the details on the couple and the event. Let me just say that it was a challenge that made my heart beat a little faster than normal. At times there were more camera crew in a room than people in the wedding. The filming crew had 3 separate teams, which consisted of 3 members each along with the locally hired videographers which counted in 3 more. I loved the challenge of it and I just want to say...."I was victorious!" I stood my ground and got some amazing shots! I'm not sure when the show airs, I'll keep you posted and in the meantime, here's a look at what I'm talking about.

This kind of sign always adds to the excitement.
Certain churches do not allow photography from anywhere except the balcony. I was told that I could take one photo of the bride waiting to make here entrance down the aisle and under no circumstances did they want to see my face when the doors opened.
I practiced my sprinting that day as the stairs were at the end of a long hall and their were 2 flights to get to the bridge and another to get to the deck. Oh! the rush of it all!

One of the biggest reasons that everything went so smoothly, inspite of all the action, was the amazing job that Wedding Soiree Consultancy did of coordinating the event. Gail and Hester were such a pleasure to work with, along with their 4 assistants. Great job everyone! I am really excited to show off the work of the Edge Design Group as well so check back in a few days and see for yourselves.

AWARD WINNER!

I am very excited that I placed with this photo. It may be 19th out of 20, but I placed! I need to place in the top 10 in order to be accepted into this artistic guild sister of wpja.com and I know I'll get there! www.AGWPJA.com. I understand the judges comments, it was about 10 degrees and we were all freezing. I'm so proud of Ashley and Cade for participating at all in those kinds of conditions.

Judge's Comments: 1. Way cool location! Aside from the location though, this image lacks a strong pose by the couple. I'd like to see more of the ice, almost to the point of losing the couple in the scene, think "where's Waldo."
