The Ritz Plantation at Lake Oconee is one of my favorite places to shoot. It's almost like being in another world. Devon and Ben were married down by the water to the sounds of a violin, a cello and a fair amount of thunder. It was really pretty exciting as the bride made the call to push up the ceremony about a 1/2 hour and cut it down from 30 minutes to about 5. Good fun!
They met before the ceremony, which I love, so the weather was perfect for outdoor shots. Ashley caught this one of the second before they saw each other. He was so darn excited. Look at his left hand as she touches his arm. Love it!
The colors were blue and silver. It was perfect for a lake wedding.
White on white. The flowers were beautiful
The Ritz is just amazing when it comes to service. Everyone we encountered all day long was so wonderful to work with.
Ben is a huge fan of car racing. All the guys were, actually. It was like a good ole boys wedding. The tables were named after speedways and drivers.
The food was incredible. The Ritz pays serious attention to detail and presentation.
A candy bar awaited the guests upon departure with large mason jars ready to be filled.
All of these people were married on June 11th. Some were celebrating their 35+ anniversary. One of the couples had met the father of the bride at the dentist's office a few days earlier and decided to make the trip to the Ritz for dinner and a warm congratulations to the Bride and Groom. They were all so excited to celebrate with one another. How cool is that?
We had such a great time. The reception was a blast and the dancing was hysterical. To view more, CLICK HERE for the slideshow.
